I combined the challenge to use a wheel with this week's sketch challenge, SC75. I think this card is rather crazy, myself--certainly a stretch for me. I used some other stamper's cards as a jumping board for inspiration but I think I belly flopped on this one! Well, some days you just "got it" and others "you don't." At least, that's how I personally feel about it.
Anyway, here's how I made this card: first, I took a sheet of white cardstock and wheeled away on it in black ink. I rolled my wheel on an angle...because I like wheeling that way. Ha! One problem I always seem to have with wheels is that I instinctively want to start rolling from right to left. But when I do that, I can't see what I've already rolled, so I have to stop and remind myself to roll from left to right. Then I can be sure I'm laying down a nice, evenly spaced row.
After rolling my cardstock, I sponged ink unto the leaves and little flowers (for more on sponging, see this post: Using Sponges). I then trimmed three strips to be 1" x 3 1/2". I cut some black cardstock to back my strips with and laid them all on one large piece of celery cardstock. I then added some ribbon, a greeting (in black Craft ink, because I thought it would look more solid and vibrant) and a two little flowers attached with a black brad.
Kinda crazy. Kinda cool. Certainly different. Let me know what YOU think.

I think the card is fabulous! I love the colors and the layout. Plus the flower is perfect.
I love this card! I can't believe you think it's a mess. In fact, I think I'm going to use the wheels I have to make a similiar one.
