Not much in the way of techniques here...but there is one thing to note: the greeting!
Instead of using dye-based ink (SU! Classic ink), which would have just soaked away into the background, I used pigment ink (SU! Craft ink), so it stayed on top! That way I was assured that the greeting would not get lost in this busy background. (Here's another post on the wonderful qualities of Craft ink.) It sure is handy! I have all 48 colors (plus black, white and vanilla) and I love them. They are also perfect for DTP techniques and embossing.
If you've been thinking about purchasing pigment inks then here's my 2 cents: "Yes! They are totally worth it." The only drawbacks I see are that you have to wait a few minutes for them to dry and you can't clean them off in your scrub pad. But those are just little annoyances compared to the fabulous looks you can create. So consider the cost. I think they are really worth it!
