Wheeled Backgrounds

My last wheeled card to show you. Posted for no other reason except that I love it so much. I can say that--I didn't design it. Ha!

View the card and see the supplies I used here, at my gallery: Easy Plaid.

The cute little country background was the item on this card that was wheeled. The flowers and leaves from "All the Best" were stamped on Ruby Red and Mellow Moss cardstock and then cut out with a pair of Paper Snips (wonderful little sharp-tipped scissors! Highly recommend them!). Each flower has an eyelet center, but is actually attached to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional so it sticks out.

Can you believe this card has survived my two year old daughter pulling the flowers off of it not once but twice?! Yup. And it still looks good!

I added one little touch of my own to this card: I made a border of pin-pricked holes on the Ruby Red mat. Sewing and cardmaking are going hand-in-hand these days and I wanted to add that little touch of flair to this card. I also couldn't resist roughing up the edges of the mat with a little bit of distressing. I like to use my fingernails to do this--just drag them along the edge of your cardstock. Free tools at your disposal!

I love how this card turned out!
