You can view the card and see the supplies I used here, at my gallery: Smoochin'.
I made this card during SCS's Virtual Stamp Night. One of the challenges was to use the Kissing Technique. I know of two ways to do this. The first is where you ink up a background pattern stamp and "kiss" a solid image stamp to it to transfer the patterned ink. Then you stamp onto your paper.
The other method is what I did here: ink a solid image stamp up in a light color and then "kiss" a pattern onto it in a darker color. I used a little twinkle stamp to add some sparkle to my flower image. This technique was so much fun, I think I actually squealed with delight when I saw my finished image.
Now, the thing that was so challenging about making this card is that I had to have it ready and uploaded within 45 minutes. What a rush! I discovered that I have a real problem with original layout ideas. I could do the techniques or pick out the colors I liked but laying them all out together?! That was a challenge.
The next time I play along with the VSN challenges, I'm going to need to have a few sketches on hand for inspiration. Apparently it takes me longer than 45 minutes to make my own creations. Ha!

Love it. I've been meaning to try this technique and just haven't yet. Maybe it'll be the technique of the week for me to try.
